What it is for
Handing out
A hundred of these at an event is an acquisition channel, not a giveaway. Mulaa Joans ran exactly that.
Wayfinding
One per zone turns a floor plan into a record of how the space was actually walked.
Packaging
Inside the box, on the swing tag, or on the shipper. The unboxing already has attention on it.
Where it does not work
It will not read on metal. Stick one to a shelf edge, a lift door or a drinks fridge and nothing happens, which is the single most common way a first pilot fails. Use the on metal sticker there. A sticker can also be peeled off by anyone, so it is a way in, never a proof of ownership.
Built with it
Mulaa Joans × Atlantic Records: Brief to live in two weeks, then three activations on one system.
10K Projects watched three months of H.LLS from inside the room, then sent one of their own artists.
H.LLS × 10K Projects: A named, consented audience in 50 countries, built from zero.
An anonymous London collective on a major label imprint. The objects carry the identity; the Portal holds the relationship.
